School Redesign partners the High Tech High Graduate School of Education with existing schools and districts to advance equity for K12 students through anti-racist deeper learning. Students develop deeper learning competencies, a sense of identity and belonging, and critical reflection and action.

Student-Facing Levers

  • Anti-Racist Deeper Learning to develop key competencies, a sense of place, identity and belonging while engaging in critical reflection and action to address social, economic, and environmental justice in the community.
  • Centering Student Voice & Activation
    to develop democratic behaviors and mindsets through opportunities for voice and choice, shared-decision making and student leadership.
  • Making Learning Public through exhibitions, student-led conferences and/or presentations of learning. Student thinking and work will be curated to reflect both product and process throughout the physical space of each school.

We believe students should learn deeply, to include the development of a rich, irrevocable sense of place identity and belonging.

An invitation to explore, learn and reconnect to the land, to place through contextualized extended experiences

Engagement in discourse about critical social and economic theories and invitation to explore diverse  ways of knowing and being in relationship

Critical development of one’s identity, ancestral and indigenous history, and standing in the community
